We are currently recruiting for TIG Welders for a contract position working with our client in Rotherham until Christmas
Immediate start available, subject to interview/weld test
Rate of £18.00 per hour for basic hours
The Role
The successful candidates will be working primarily with 2mm stainless steel, producing high-quality welds to engineering drawings and specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
* TIG welding 2mm stainless steel
* Working from engineering drawings
* Producing neat, high-quality welds to a high standard
* Setting and operating TIG welding equipment
* Preparing, cleaning and inspecting materials prior to welding
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Working to production targets and quality standards
Requirements
* Previous experience as a TIG Welder
* Strong experience welding stainless steel, ideally around 2mm thickness
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Good attention to detail
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Relevant welding qualifications/certifications would be advantageous
NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Welding would be expected.
