We are currently recruiting for Press Brake Setters/Operators and Folders for permanent positions based with our client in Bradford
Immediate start available (subject to interview process)
Rate of pay is £15.59 per hours for basic hours
This will be working mornings to start with, but an afternoon shift pattern will start after the New Year.
The Role:
The successful candidates will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery and folding equipment to manufacture a variety of sheet metal components to the required specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting and operating CNC Press Brake machinery and/or folding machines.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Setting machines, selecting appropriate tooling and adjusting programmes where required.
* Folding and forming sheet metal components to accurate measurements and tolerances.
* Working with a variety of sheet metals, including mild steel and other materials.
* Checking finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Using measuring equipment, including tape measures, verniers and angle gauges.
* Carrying out routine machine checks and ensuring equipment is maintained.
* Working to production targets and deadlines.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
* Working alongside other members of the manufacturing team to ensure production runs efficiently.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience working as a Press Brake Setter/Operator or Folder.
* Experience setting and operating CNC Press Brake or folding machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication and folding processes.
* Knowledge of different materials, thicknesses and tooling requirements.
* Ability to work accurately and maintain high-quality standards.
* Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
