Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for a Plater for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay £18.00 per hour for basic hours

The successful Plater will be working within a busy steel fabrication environment, carrying out fabrication and assembly work to a high standard.

Duties will include:

* Reading and working from engineering drawings
* Measuring, marking out and preparing steel components
* Fitting and assembling steel structures and components
* Using a range of hand and workshop tools
* Working closely with welders and other members of the fabrication team
* Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to specification
* Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

The Ideal Candidate

* Previous experience as a Plater / Fabricator Plater
* Strong experience working within a steel fabrication environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Confident with measuring, marking out and fitting
* Good attention to detail and quality
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Relevant fabrication experience and qualifications would be advantageous

NVQ Level in Plating or Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
