We are looking for a MIG Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay £17.00 per hour for basic hours

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out MIG welding and fabrication work to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and specifications.

Duties will include:

* MIG welding steel components and structures
* Working from engineering drawings and welding specifications
* Setting up welding equipment and selecting the appropriate settings
* Fabricating and assembling steelwork
* Checking welds and finished work to ensure quality and accuracy
* Using hand and workshop tools
* Working alongside Platers and other members of the fabrication team
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and production standards

The Ideal Candidate

* Previous experience as a MIG Welder
* Experience within a steel fabrication environment
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Good knowledge of MIG welding techniques
* Experience working with structural steel and fabricated components
* Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications would be advantageous#

NVQ Level in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
