Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting:

We are looking for a MIG Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield.

Immediate start available (subject to interview and weld test)

Rate of pay is £15.00 to £19.00 per hour (depending on experience and skillset)

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components and structures to the required standards and specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

* MIG welding mild steel components
* Working from engineering and fabrication drawings
* Reading and interpreting welding symbols and measurements
* Preparing, fitting and welding fabricated components
* Ensuring welds meet the required quality standards
* Carrying out visual inspections of completed work
* Using a range of fabrication and workshop equipment
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Working efficiently to meet production deadlines

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* Previous experience in a MIG Welding / Fabrication role
* Experience working with mild steel
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Good understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A reliable and hardworking approach

NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.

Must hold current or previous welding coding in BS EN 287-1:2011 or BS EN ISO 9606-1
