We are looking to a for MAG Welders for a long-term contract based with our client in Scunthorpe.

Immediate start available (subject to interview and weld test)

Rate of pay is £22.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)

This position does have the potential to go permeant for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out MAG welding on carbon steel components
* Perform fillet and butt welds (ML position) to a high standard
* Complete single-sided, full penetration butt welds with no backing
* Weld in PA (flat) and PB (horizontal-vertical) positions
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
* Ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards
* Conduct visual inspection of welds and rectify defects where necessary
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

* Proven experience in Carbon MAG welding
* Qualified or previously tested in:
* Fillet welds - ML
* Butt welds - ML
* Positions: PA / PB
* Single-sided, no backing, full penetration butt welds
* Ability to work from technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Relevant welding certifications
