We are looking for a Lifting Supervisor for a contract based on Buxton Cement in Derbyshire
This is to start on the 2nd November and run until February 2027
Rate of pay is:
* £27.00 per hour (All hours Monday to Friday)
* £34.00 per hour (All hours Weekends)
ey Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate lifting operations on site, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with approved lift plans.
* Ensure lifting activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation, site rules and safe systems of work.
* Check that lifting equipment and accessories are suitable for the task and have the required inspection and certification.
* Coordinate crane operators, slinger/signallers, riggers and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
* Conduct pre-lift briefings and ensure all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities.
* Monitor lifting activities and stop work if unsafe practices or conditions are identified.
* Ensure risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans are followed.
* Maintain effective communication with site management, contractors and other trades.
* Ensure lifting areas are controlled and exclusion zones are maintained.
* Report incidents, near misses and safety concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Lifting Supervisor.
* Must hold a valid MP Connect Card.
* In date Lift Supervisor certification are essential.
* Relevant lifting supervision qualifications and certifications appropriate to the role.
* Experience working within an industrial, construction or heavy engineering environment.
* Good understanding of lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
* Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, lifting accessories and safe lifting practices.
* Excellent communication, coordination and leadership skills.
* A strong commitment to health and safety.
