We are looking for a Industrial Maintenance Electrician for a permanent position in Doncaster.
This will be working days and nights and salary is between £45,000 and £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
To maintain with the assistance of the Engineering Manager, the routine electrical maintenance of plant, equipment and machinery, in a safe working environment to the most cost effective and efficient manner.
Work with staff and production supervisors, to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns, and to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.

Key responsibilities:
Carry out work orders by the Planned Preventative Maintenance system to ensure all plant is maintained in a safe and efficient condition.
Undertake diagnostic checks in machinery breakdown situations, and complete timely and appropriate remedial work to return the plant to service.
Comply and maintain a safe working environment both in the engineering workshop and site-wide, ensuring that relevant Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to.
Identify any spare part requirements, and initiate their procurement through the requisition process, providing technical specification and manufacturer/supplier details.
Undertake safety improvement work raised by the Hazard Risk reporting procedure and strive to eliminate risk through plant improvement and better working practices.
Install and commission to recognised standards any new or relocated equipment within the site.
Able to work unsupervised and using own initiative, or as described by a specialist.
Be willing to undertake training to develop knowledge and flexibility.
Mentor/Coach existing electrical team.
Maintaining electrical tools, stores and equipment;
Work to planned production priorities.
Work closely with other functions on site to improve the manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
Record relevant maintenance information in the various forms required by the systems and ensure continual production is maintained at all times.
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Education Requirements:
Trade apprenticeship and/or City & Guilds/NVQ 3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering;
HNC standard in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
City & Guilds IEE wiring regulations.
Training:
Evacuation training will be given.
Experience of Preventive maintenance systems is desirable.
Safe system procedure training will be given.
Essential Skills and abilities:
Strong communication and organisational and planning skills.
A knowledge of industrial cranes/hoists with two speed motor and invertor-controlled motions.
A knowledge of PLC control systems preferably Siemens Classic and TIA.
To be able to write and modify PLC code.
SCADA, invertor and encoder knowledge advantageous.
A knowledge of factory automation and instrumentation including transducers, TC'c, RTD's, load cells and PID temperature control.
SCADA, PLC, invertor and encoder knowledge advantageous.
A sound working knowledge with fault finding ability of electrical control systems both with PLC and relay logic.
Controls using radio controlled and PLC with encoder positioning.
Working knowledge of Microsoft PC based applications.
Ability to work well with others and under schedule constraints.
Provide professional and thorough documentation of work.
Experience:
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the use of a planned preventive maintenance system is desirable.
An understanding of Quality Systems meeting ISO 9000 series is desirable.
A working knowledge of Refractories, and associated products is desirable.
