We are looking for a Fabricator Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Bridlington.
Immediate start available (subject to interview process & weld test)
You will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel components to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.
Working Hours & Pay:
* Day Shift: £16.50 - £18.00 per hour, depending on skillset and experience.
* Night Shift: Day rate + 1/3.
* Overtime opportunities may be available depending on production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate and weld steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
* Carry out MIG/TIG welding to a consistently high standard.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.
* Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
* Carry out preparation, cutting, grinding and finishing of fabricated components.
* Inspect your own work to ensure it meets required quality standards.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
* Work effectively as part of a production team while also being able to work independently.
* Follow all company health & safety procedures and production requirements.
* Meet agreed production targets and deadlines.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder.
* Competent MIG/TIG welding skills.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
* Experience working with steel and fabrication equipment.
* Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
* Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
