We are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Engineer on behalf of our client based in St Helens. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabrication professional looking to join a well-established and growing business.

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Salary is £40,000 to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Drawing & Technical Capability

* Confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
* Create fabrication drawings
* Work from client specifications and produce shop-ready drawings
* Understand tolerances, weld symbols, and surface finishes

Software Skills

* Competent in relevant engineering and drawing software packages

Hands-on Fabrication Knowledge

* Welding processes
* Cutting, drilling and forming techniques
* Assembly methods
* Jigging and sequencing of work

BS EN 1090 & Compliance Knowledge

* Material traceability requirements
* Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To:

* Clearly explain drawings and technical information to workshop staff
* Identify potential issues early and communicate practical solutions
* Work independently with minimal supervision
* Manage workload effectively and maintain high standards of quality

Ideal Background

* Time-served Fabricator/Welder who has progressed into an engineering role
* Strong understanding of fabrication and workshop processes
* Experience producing fabrication drawings and supporting production teams
