We are looking for a Transport & Planning Manager for a permanent with our client based in Wallsend.
Immediate start available. (Subject to the Interview process)
Salary is £55,000 to £60,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Purpose of the Role
Holds principal responsibility for the planning and production capacity overview across all projects. Primary role is to assess risks, report results and manage the transport team including load-in and loadouts.
Planning
The T&P Manager manages the overview of the general planning within SPU. Looks for all the right information:
* Site/Yards Layout Planning/Drawing entire yard (A, B & C-shop, including all yards and quays)
* Shift planning production units SPU
* Project schedules
Production progress
The T&P Manager provides a uniform system for monitoring the current status of production and projects.
Progress - The progress system should enable everyone to view the current status of the production departments.
The T&P manager checks that the progress is filled in in a timely and correct manner by those responsible within production.
Priorities
* The T&P Manager is responsible for all activities within the transport department. In the first place, they will always ensure safe working.
* Coordinating and organizing the activities of all employees within the department
* Clear communication internally and externally about planning and progress
* Building a strong team
