
Sales & Office Coordinator (Permanent) required for our Builders Merchant and Construction supplier client based in Dagenham, Essex.
£25,000 to £35,000 (DOE)
THE ROLE:
To manage day-to-day customer sales orders, yard inventories and daily production/bagging lists, same day/next day daily delivery schedules, driver infringements and paperwork, new staff/driver/visitor inductions, plant and machinery administrative safety audits, production quality control checks.
SALES:
Handling/processing sales orders by phone and email, ensuring orders have the correct quantities and delivery address, contact details.
Dealing with customer enquiries, complaints, and queries
Proactively informing customers of any potential order delays, arranging delivery dates etc.
Managing customer accounts to ensure they are within their credit limit.
Processing and auditing of Incoming material delivery tickets
Producing accurate daily production bagging lists for yard staff
Co-ordinating yard stock inventories
Processing end of shift paperwork (PODs etc)
Understanding and monitoring customer account limits
TRANSPORT PLANNING
Accurately populate the next day delivery schedule to suit traffic conditions, customer delivery times while maximising driver working time and ensuring maximum number of loads delivered each day.
Manage the live day schedule accounting for driver sickness and absence, unusual traffic conditions, delays at customer sites etc.
Utilise live tracker information to direct loads appropriately.
Managing driver paperwork appropriately at the end of each shift
Office / Health and Safety
Assist in delivering toolbox talks to staff and drivers.
Communicating driver infringements
Conducting new staff/driver/visitor inductions
Ensuring pre-use plant and machinery administrative safety checks are being carried out.
Production quality control checks to ensure the correct bags weights are being used.
