Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting:

We are looking for a Project Manager for a permanent position for our client in Barnsley

Immediate start available (Subject to interview process)

Salary is £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Requirements

* Extensive experience managing custom metal fabrication or job shop engineering projects
* Ability to create, interpret, review, and approve detailed fabrication drawings,
* Advanced proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes including cutting (laser, plasma, waterjet), forming, machining, welding, and finishing
* Experience leading projects from RFQ and estimating support through production, QA, and delivery
* Ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs and clear shop documentation
* Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and material specifications
* Knowledge of welding standards and fabrication codes (e.g. AWS, ASME, ISO, or equivalent)
* Experience coordinating with production managers, weld supervisors, machinists, and external suppliers
* Ability to identify design-for-manufacturability improvements to reduce cost, lead time, and rework
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and job tracking in a job shop environment
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the shop floor
