Our client is currently looking for a Project Engineer with CDM site regulations experience for a 4 month contract in Sittingbourne to start at the beginning of June.
This will be working on an extension of a plasterboard factory.
Day rate is depending on experience.
Most of this work will be remote based, but site visits will be occasionally needed.
The successful candidate will be creating workload packages on both the pre-construction phase and the construction phase and will be required to plan, manage and monitor both phases as well as installation, coordinating matters relating to Health and Safety
An ability to read from engineering drawings would be advantageous.
The Project Engineer will have previous experience in CDM site regulations and organising work area and will be installing new machinery whilst maintaining pre-existing machinery.
You will be responsible for organising work windows and estimating time periods required to complete the work stages and ensuring all necessary paperwork and management regulations are adhered to and prepared prior to commencement of work phases.
A sound knowledge of Health and Safety is required for the Health and Safety files for the pre construction phase and planning of the construction phase.
The Project Engineer will have a strong engineering background preferably in Materials Handling but not essential, showing previous experience in building modification, conveyor systems and CDM safe working practices.
