We are looking for a Plater Welder for a permanent position based in Sheffield.
Immediate Start available (Subject to interview process)
Rate of pay: £15.12 per hour.
Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 15:30 and Fridays 07:00 - 12:30
Role and responsibilities:
Your role will be plater welder manufacturing fabrications both bespoke and standard.
You will be responsible for producing high quality fabrications, on time, to budget and in a safe manner.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes:
* Apprentice trained with City and Guilds in fabrication and welding or equivalent.
* Proof of recent welding coding's. (Not essential)
* Experience of working in quality driven environment
* Trained to 1090 and 3834 standards with a minimum welder qualification of BS EN ISO 9606 fillet and butt. Plate thickness ranging from 3mm-50mm (ideally)
* Worked with various materials such as carbon steels, Stainless, Aluminium, and other exotic specifications.
* Able to read and understand complicated technical drawings quality documents and QITP.
* Competent in all aspects of processing steel i.e., cutting, shearing, drilling and bending.
* Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output.
* Follow and adhere to procedures for both production and health and safety daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
* Ability to work effectively and use own initiative.
