Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting:

We are looking for a Plater for a permanent position based with our client in Chesterfield

Immediate start available (Subject to interview process)

Rate of pay is £17.00 per hour for basic hours

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm (4 day working week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment. Ie Bridges, staircases, gantries. (Road & Rail)
* Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
* Working from engineering drawings & specifications.
* Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings.
* Welding to a high quality.
* Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling.
* Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed:

* Confident plater or fabricator
* Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications
* Confident MIG Welder
* Experience operating fabrication machinery
* Must have worked within a heavy steel industry
* Confident working from engineering drawings from scratch

NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding or Plating would be expected.
