We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield
Immediate start available (subject to interview process)
Salary is £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Duties and responsibilities:
* Responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure maximum uptime and safety
* To assist in planned and reactive maintenance on various fixed and mobile plant
* Upkeep of the maintenance plan, policies and procedures
* Conducting frequent quality checks on plant equipment to ensure maintenance is kept to a minimum
* Undertaking reactive maintenance when equipment breaks down
* Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance
* Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place Inform management of any safety concerns or defective equipment.
* Ensure that the tools and equipment comply with all relevant regulations and is readily available for use.
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
* Assist the Maintenance Manager in operational improvements
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a basic disclosure and barring service check (DBS) on commencement and at regular intervals.
NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering would be expected.
