We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Fitter for a permanent position based with our client in Hull
Immediate start available (Subject to interview process)
Salary is £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)
This will be working Monday to Friday - 6:30am till 4:30pm (with occasional weekends in line with operations)
Expectations
* Effective collaboration with operations, electrical and EHS teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
* Oversee maintenance strategies for bulk handling equipment inclusive of cranes, belt conveyors, chain conveyors, bucket elevators, hoppers, silos, dust collectors and related components.
* Drive reliability improvements using root cause analysis.
* Ensure minimal downtime through effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs while attending breakdowns promptly.
* Flexibility to respond to operational priorities, including occasional out of hours support.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of bulk material handling systems
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
* Basic IT literacy (SAP, MS Office)
* Comfortable working at height and within confined spaces
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
* Minimum level 3 NVQ or city and guilds in mechanical engineering
* UK driving licence + Use of own car
* Relevant industry training (Health and Safety, manual handling, working at height, confined space, first aid at work) - Desirable.
