Due to their continued growth, our client is looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer within their London region. You will be reporting to their Regional Director and working alongside their Contract Managers with governance from their Health & Safety Director
Salary: £50,000 pa
Responsibilities
* Effective management of Health & Safety within business.
* Ensuring that working practices are maintained.
* Effective control of environmental management within the company.
* Development of policies & standards to manage environmental issues and retain the company's accreditation to ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
* Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
* Managing and promoting Health & Safety awareness throughout the business.
* Providing advice and support to management in Health & Safety matters.
* Ongoing development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
* Carrying out risk assessments and developing strategies for reducing risks.
* Developing safe operational procedures and carrying out regular site inspection reports.
* Delivering on site programme of Health & Safety training for employees and managers.
* Carrying out accident investigations on site, preparing and submitting reports in accordance with RIDDOR if required.
* Maintaining a record of incidents and accidents for statistical purposes.
Qualifications/Experience Required
* NEBOSH Qualification Construction Health & Safety Certification.
* Sound knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental principles, and procedures.
* Experience of bringing improvements in Health, Safety & Environmental performance.
* Electrical experience would be preferable but not essential.
