We are looking for a CAD Technician for a permanent position for our client based in Clitheroe.
Immediate start available (subject to interview).
Salary is £20,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
This will be working Monday - Friday 9am till 5pm
Job Description:
This role encompasses the preparation of engineering drawings and parts lists, from General Arrangements through to fully detailed fabrication drawings of components using Solidworks 3D computer aided design software. Working with existing standard models and components as well as the development of bespoke items where or if necessary for specific project requirements.
* Using Solidworks, the job holder will create 3D models from customer information, standardised components and on-site measurements where necessary.
* All design and detailing to meet the Quality and accuracy expected.
* Achieving all current Design and detailing Standards.
* Achieving all current Engineering standards.
* Interpretation of Customer requirement and the conversion of these into designs.
* The effective communication and resolution of queries directly with Client personnel
Software:
* Solid Works 3D & 2D
* Solidworks PDM
* Microsoft Office
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Preferably good education standard in an Engineering discipline, preferably to B/TEC ONC/ OND or NVQ level 3
* Solidworks experience (preferable)
* Min 2 years' experience in an engineering production environment (ie experience of the software use outside of an educational establishment)
* Steel metal / general steel fabrication design experience
* Excellent Communication skills
* Positive and proactive approach
* Commercial awareness
