Healthcare Assistant- Homecare (Temp to Perm)
Dutton Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an experienced carer who is looking for a new challenge to work on an 8 week temp to perm basis for our client in the Wakefield area. You will be supporting one male service user in their home which has been adapted for their complex needs. The service user has a motobility vehicle therefore the successful candidate will ideally hold a full UK Driving Licence. After completing 8 weeks as a temporary worker for Dutton Recruitment, you will then join the client on a full time permanent basis.
Responsibilities
* Support the service user 2:1 during the day and 1:1 at night
* Consistently deliver a high standard of care and support
* Work flexibly across a varied rota- days, evenings, waking nights, weekends & bank holidays
* Take a person centred approach to care and encourage active support
* Carry out all aspects of personal care for the service user
* Keep all records up to date with accurate information and undertake online training when required
Essential Requirements
* At least 6 months paid experience as a carer in the UK
* You must have a valid DBS or be willing to get a new one
* Hold a valid UK Driving Licence
* Have a confident and caring nature
* Be comfortable with IT for keeping daily logs
* You must have had the vaccine or be willing to have it prior to starting
