Ground Maintenance Operative required for our local authority client based in South Yorkshire.

(Must hold a full drivers licence)

THE ROLE:

An opportunity has arisen to work within the councils Street services, street cleansing and grounds maintenance service carrying out various street cleansing and grounds maintenance related duties around various locations across the borough.

You will need to have relevant experience of carrying out street cleansing / grounds maintenance work and utilising powered hand tools.

Your main responsibilities will include, litter picking, emptying of street litter and dog bins, weed grubbing, brushing of hard standing areas, cutting back overgrown vegetation from footways and cycle paths.

Additional responsibilities may include, removal of drug litter and assisting with grass cutting and other cleansing and grounds maintenance related work when required.



Applicants must be able to complete daily and weekly record sheets as well as when required give general assistance to members of the public on relevant street cleansing and grounds maintenance issues.

You must be flexible, committed and have a willingness to undertake mandatory training specific to Council Employees and the Job role.

Hours of work 07:30hrs - 15:30hrs

37hrs per week
