We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Controls & Design Engineer for a permanent position in Dewsbury.
Salary is £37,000 per annum.
Our client design & manufacture their own control panels and systems for the products they manufacture.
The successful candidate would need to produce schematic wiring diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical Schematic drawing package.
Training will be provided to use this package if required.
You must have experience in designing and building control panels, with good knowledge of methods and components required.
You would be responsible for researching the market and keeping up to date with the latest technologies available, as well as sourcing and ordering all materials required to manufacture the designed control panels & systems.
Our client predominantly use Siemens for our PLC's and SCADA systems, so the successful candidate would need to have good knowledge of PLC's, drives and associated components, as well as understanding safety devices and safety PLC's.
An advantage would be experience in software programming as well as creating user friendly HMI designs but is not essential.
Candidates will be required to work at our client's facilities in Dewsbury and visit customers site around the UK.
You would be required to assist in the quotation of customer enquiries and creating final product manuals, as well as general office work assisting other if needed, so good ability to work within a team is and under your own initiative is essential.
Skills/Qualification:
· Have a full UK Drivers licence
· Electronics or Electrical engineering qualifications.
· Experience in Electrical Schematic drawing.
· Experience in Control Panel Design.
· Have a pragmatic & logical approach to problems.
· Excellent knowledge of designing safe electrical systems.
· Be able to work in a team.
· Ensure the safety of yourself and others, working to HSE policies.
· Be confident and polite dealing with our client's customers.
