Now Dutton are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for a stonemasonry contractor.
Reporting To:
Directors
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing valuations for payment applications to the client
* Managing change control (Compensation events, early warnings)
* Liaising with subcontractors and effectively assessing their invoices and applications for payment
* Analysing and interrogating costs compared to budget and allowances
* Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions
* Resolving disputes with clients and subcontractors
* Preparing subcontract documentation
* Ability to use own initiative and work under direction when required
* Working closely with team members to ensure all value is captured
* Production of CVRs and analysis of same
* Liaise with the site teams and take the lead with contract administration including record keeping
* Measurement of the works
Background
Ideally degree qualified
* Competent in MS Excel
* A clear understanding of NEC contracts
* Some experience within civils/telecoms industry
* Ability to interpret and understand contract documents, scopes of works and contract drawings
* An appreciation of financial cost control and value recovery
