Mechanical Estimator required for an established M&E installation services company based in Essex.
£50,000 - £70,000 per annum (DOE) Salary negotiable
THE ROLE:
Mechanical Estimator - qualifications, skills, and experience. Very good knowledge of Ventilation, Plumbing, heating, and Air conditioning systems. Preference for operative with knowledge and experience with Ensign Estimating Package which is what is loaded onto the company's in-house system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and collate tenders, ensuring adherence to specified deadlines.
Deliver fast, accurate, and profitable estimates from inquiry stage to bid submission.
Gather quotes from suppliers for client requirements and effectively cost plan to meet the client's needs.
Prepare and submit quotations for work as well as monitoring projects to ensure costs do not spiral and keep in line with forecasts.
Analyse fully subcontract / supplier tenders for compliance to the specification and drawings.
Excellent planning and organisation skills.
COMPUTER LITERATE:
Able to use Excel and familiar with MS packages:
Able to pick up estimating software and learn the basics.
Ideally living in the Essex area
Full Driving License
Immediately Available (With 2-4 weeks)
