We are looking for an Engineering Design Manager for a permanent position in Doncaster.
This will be split between 2 sites: Doncaster and Hull
The candidate must be flexible between sites, travelling cost inter site can be agreed.
Responsibilities:
* Develop new products from conception into full produdction, ensuring all products meet customer expectations and the regulatory standards for all markets.
* Develop partnerships with knowledge based organisations and suppliers
* Review and improve the development procedures from concept to production.
* Develop test procedures and schedules
* Produce full design and manufacturing drawings for new products
* Produce detailed Bill of Materials, recommending key suppliers for new products
* Lead a small team of engineers
* Ensure the engineering files are managed and up to date, signing off all engineering changes
* Document new machine specifications, competitor comparisons, share with all colleagues.
* Support all training programs
The successful candidate will have 3 reports, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and Tech Support Engineer, more engineers to be added
Must have good IT skills and working knowledge of SolidWorks.
The successful candidate will come from a fabrication or mechanical back ground.
Salary is around £40,000 per annum.
