Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their maintenance team of skilled M&E Engineers. As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for the electrical services relating to plant and M&E and building services, ensuring they are in safe working condition and comply with safety regulations and fit for use. This includes day to day monitoring, maintenance and small works projects to a high level of standard.



Duties



React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA's

Technical awareness of computer room/call centre/trader operations and experience of power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling etc.

Repairs to modular UPS systems including full understanding and experience of functional switching and scheduled switching

Maintain Dali lighting systems, including re-addressing and software changes

Work with building management systems including fault finding and operator use

Ability to test and diagnose power quality issues including harmonic distortion using onsite power analyzers

Provide emergency response standby, call out

Escalate urgent issues identified through to the Technical Services Manager

Respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies consistent with the SLA

Responsible for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation & records are kept updated

Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales

Liaise with Clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks

Advise the Facilities Management Team of changes in critical environment requirements

Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works

Undertake Upgrade & Install works

Control and supervise contractors when required

Ensure all PPM's and Critical Facility PPM's are carried out to schedule and ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests

Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with H&S procedures, using the permit to work system where applicable

Monitor and analyse environmental conditions, review the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly

Ensure that financial processes are adhered to at all times

Complete an incident report for all abnormal incidents affecting systems availability (draft prepared within 24 business hours of an incident), determine the root cause and action items required

Enter relevant quotes and remedial works onto the in-house system

Continually communicate building issues to end users and Management team

Carry out fault finding on start-delta motors

Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice



Qualification /Experience Required



Higher Diploma / NVQ level in Electrical engineering

Recognised Apprenticeship

17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations

Experience and understanding of HVAC systems.

Testing and Inspection of Electrical systems

Understand and interpret technical drawings / instructions / processes & O&M's

Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks

Experience of H & S procedures & requirements (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment)

Experience of supporting with landscaping projects

Knowledge of emergency response activities

Good understand the monitoring of utilities and environmental programmes
