Quick-fire Q&A - Tom Davison

This week we’re talking to Tom Davison who is based at our Head Office in Sheffield. Tom is a Recruitment Consultant in Building Services – his main role is prospecting and developing relationships with both candidates and clients nationwide.

1. What was your first ever job?

I was an Assistant at Chatsworth House.

2. How long have you been in recruitment?

I’ve previously worked in the Building Services Industry, but transitioned to the recruitment side a couple of years ago.

3. What's your favourite thing about the industry?

That every day is different.

4. ...and your least favourite thing?

I have two: projects being pulled at last minute and candidates not turning up on site – it can be very frustrating!

5. What made you want to join Dutton Recruitment?

I wanted to join a well-established, thriving company within an industry I was passionate about, working alongside industry professionals.

6. What's something you can't live without at work?

The water cooler!

7. Tea or Coffee?

Tea

8. What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?

I enjoy going to the gym and keeping fit.

9. What is your main goal at Dutton Recruitment?

I enjoy my job, so aim to continue growing our Building Services offering and progress within Dutton.

10. If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

​Dubai, for a nice break.
