After a competitive tender Dutton International are delighted to announce that we have been successful in becoming a specialist supplier to Horizon Nuclear Power, one of the leading UK Energy company's developing the new nuclear fleet planned for the UK. Horizon Nuclear Power is a UK energy company developing a new generation of nuclear power stations. Horizon Nuclear Power is expected to build new nuclear power stations in the United Kingdom. They were established in 2009, with their head office in Gloucester, and are now owned by Hitachi A wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. Horizon plans to provide at least 5,200MW of new power station capacity to the UK, enough to power around 10 million homes. Their projects will create in the region of 1,000 permanent jobs at each of their sites at Wylfa and Oldbury and require a peak construction workforce of up to 6,000 per site. This investment will boost the country's low carbon power supplies and help develop local skills and new prospects for British suppliers within the Nuclear sector. This enhancement for our Energy and Power Generation Divisions at our branches across the country will require us to locate additional Engineering staff and focus on enhancing our database of available workers.
