We are looking for a Sales & Procurement Co-ordinator to join our client's expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most diverse metal manufacturers within Sheffield.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing new and existing customers, as well as having a proactive approach to generating new business customers.

The candidate will be expected to understand and work with simplified technical drawings and specifications in order to produce quotations and place orders.

The main duties and skills required of the role are as follows:

* Answer incoming sales calls and receive email enquiries
* Develop and maintain new customer relationships
* Quote customers promptly within agreed timescales
* Follow up on quotations in an organised manner to convert into orders, or record reason for loss
* Inputting quotations/confirmed orders onto a Windows-based ERP system
* Develop and maintain new supplier relationships
* Purchase back-to-back material to satisfy orders when required, including sourcing of material and PO progression with suppliers

Essential Requirements:

* Candidates must have substantial sales experience within an engineering/manufacturing industry.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Ability to read technical drawings
* Proficient with MS Office

Beneficial:

* Direct metal sales experience
* Background understanding of metallurgy/metal treatment processes
* Export sales experience

Salary is around £35,000 per annum.
