Dutton Recruitment are working with a leading industrial gases business to recruit a Senior Process Engineer for their site in North East England, with an 18 Month-contract available.

As senior Process Engineer, you will work on refurbishment and upgrade projects, as well as new installations for a variety of customers across.
Duties will include:
* Provide detailed process engineering support to projects and the ongoing operation and continuous improvement of all operations in the UK and Ireland
* Produce specifications and scope of work for projects, developing an outline scheme into a detailed project proposal. This could be for an existing site development or new customer installations including the expanding clean fuels and carbon capture market
* Ensure process safety requirements are identified and incorporated into the design at an early stage
* Scope and deliver process engineering solutions for site support activities. Conduct independent fault finding and problem resolution of moderate to high complexity, selecting and applying suitable process engineering techniques. These activities will require travel to site on occasion
* Develop standards for approval within your specialist area of expertise or as a member of a Team of Experts is required in this role
* Deliver solutions personally or through a matrix of engineers, technical and administrative staff and contractors
* Manage a portfolio of activities on a day-to-day basis, and organising your own workload and priorities accordingly
We would be keen to speak to candidates with the following skills & experience:
* Degree qualified (ideally chartered) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
* Significant experience in Process Engineering; FEED, calculations and on-site installation/commissioning
* Capable of operating independently which would normally be associated with Chartered status but may have been gained through though other (artisan/time-served) routes
* Experience of compressed gases and cylinder filling operations is desirable
* History of leading design teams, chairing meetings and liaising with customers
