We are looking for Plant Fitters for permanent positions in Rotherham.

Immediate starts available (subject to interview process).

Maintenance personnel are responsible for maintaining both mobile and fixed plant to agreed standards, working in a safe manner following agreed work instructions. Customer focus is also of paramount importance.

Working as a part of a team, excellent communication and teamwork skills are critical to facilitate the efficient operation of the maintenance function; as is the accurate capture and reporting of information regarding maintenance activities.



Experience

* Minimum 3 year's experience in their specialised field in a large mobile and fixed plant environment as a mechanical engineer (fitter)
* Ideally be educated to City & Guilds (or equivalent) in a mechanical engineering discipline and served a full relevant apprenticeship.
* Have a proven experience of carrying out maintenance activities preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Be able to diagnose process faults and identify appropriate repairs.
* Be able to perform maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and manuals with a focus on maintaining safety and maximizing production:
* Previous experience in conducting and adherence to both preventative and reactive maintenance activities
* Previous OEM (main dealer experience) in the repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment.
* Clean driving license

* Able to understand equipment schematic and technical drawings

Key Results Areas

* Understands and follows safe working procedures and performs 'point of work' risk assessments for all unique tasks.
* Understands and follows all mandatory company policies covering all aspects of the operation.
* Management of ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 obligations pertaining to the maintenance function to ensure accreditation is maintained
* Adheres to health and safety policy

Responsibilities and Duties

* Perform routine and non routine maintenance activities according to a defined shift plan, following the safe working procedure (work instruction) for the task
* Use the right parts, equipment and PPE for the task and adopt a 'right first time' approach to all activities
* Follow the work order to ensure that all work is completed and checked prior to re commissioning the asset
* Accurately capture and record all work done including time taken, parts used, and asset worked on
* Return all unused/repairable parts to the stores
* Complete all necessary paperwork supporting the work performed and submit on a timely basis to the supervisor/workshop administrcator

This will be working a 4 on 4 off (Days/Nights) rotation and rate of pay is £15.27 per hour.
