We are currently looking for a Mechancial/Electrical Fitter for a permanent position in Chesterfield (there will be around 6 weeks working away per year).
Salary is around £35,000 per annum
Duties:
* Machine and equipment assembly in our premises from manufactured components and bought out standard parts.
* Test of equipment including with customers present.
* Installation of equipment and prove out of performance parameters against specification.
*Service of existing equipment, dismantling repair and refurbishment.
* Producing service reports for site visits.
* Input to design and development of existing products.
* Developing company policies and procedures in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
The majority of working year is based in Chesterfield.
Service work throughout the UK typically around 6 weeks during the year. This can be more depending on the work profile. Very occasional work in Europe.
Components being handled are precision shafts, bearings, rollers, couplings, AC motors up to 250 kW, large centrifugal and axial flow fans, pneumatic components and circuits.
Skills/Requirements:
Mechanical qualification (Minimum NVQ 3)
Competent to work safely around electrical systems including 400V and higher. Experience of lock out procedures.
Building small PCBs
Basic computer skills (Excel and Word)
Basic CAD skills
Driving Licence and own vehicle is essential.
