We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Maintenance Manager for our client based in Barnsley.
Immediate start available (subject to interview process)
Rate of Pay:
£37,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
About the Role
As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the breakdown and planned preventative maintenance schedule of the site. You will select and deploy specialist sub-contractors where necessary to augment in-house skills. You will have both mechanical and electrical experience (including hydraulic and pneumatics), maintaining a variety of equipment including presses, rolling mills and assorted drives. You will lead a team of two technicians and an apprentice.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Time served or degree (or equivalent) level Engineer / Technician.
* Must also have experience in a similar role, within a manufacturing environment.
* Extensive practical experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing factory setting is essential and the ability to weld and use machine tools (lathe & mill) is desirable.
* A good understanding of relevant Health and Safety procedures is required.
