Support Worker- MAPA/PMVA Trained

Dutton Recruitment have seen an increase in demand for PMVA/MAPA trained support workers from our clients in Bradford and Leeds. We are looking for confident, enthusiastic support workers who have experience working with mental health and challenging behaviours. We can offer you flexible working with a mix of days and night shifts available alongside generous, weekly pay.

Job Description Overview

* Provide assistance to service users to help them meet both their health and social care needs.
* Remain observant and vigilant at all times whilst supporting service users.
* Keep all relevant documentation up to date.
* Communicate with staff members and team leaders.
* Enable residents to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life.
* Help residents to identify and choose their support needs.
* Understand the rights of the individual to have their wishes respected.
* Understand how to treat individuals with dignity and respect.
* Understand equal opportunities and supports the equality and diversity of the individual.

Essential Criteria

* At least 3 months' UK based paid experience supporting adults with complex/challenging behaviors, mental health & learning disabilities.
* PMVA/MAPA trained (with valid certificate).
* Valid mandatory care training certificates.
* Valid DBS certificate on the update service.
* You must have the right to work within the UK.
* You must have a strong commitment to providing the highest standards of care possible.
* A person-centred approach to delivering care.
