Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for:
A Senior Project Manager and a Project Manager to lead the FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and full handover of the major SAR projects during the 2021/2022 major overhaul.
This is a significant major investment for the site - the largest in nearly 30 years - and includes a new SAR converter and SAR furnace.
Taking project accountability, you will lead the project delivery team in design engineering, construction and commissioning to deliver the SAR projects post sanction.
Key responsibilities:
·Lead the design and engineering team to deliver the full package of work to the relevant KPIs through to project commissioning
·Construction requirements for the projects to deliver the work scope across the SAR plant in the 2021/2022 overhaul.
·Commissioning requirements for the projects, ensuring that the team and any contractors/3rd parties understand the technical requirements and performance guarantees to be met.
·Work with the purchasing and project team to ensure the scope and delivery of all procurement packages are well defined and executed
·Work with the projects cost control team to ensure cost control.
·Coordinate with the technology supplier to deliver the project design and construction requirements to the project KPIs as above and ensure there are robust performance guarantees in place and executed.
·Line manage the performance of the project engineering and design teams to the required standards, ensuring adequate resourcing is in place and aligned to site agency rates.
·Provide the detailed information to the SAR major projects steering process and attend the meetings as necessary.
·Ensure all the relevant project procedures are applied to time and quality through the process. This includes PEx and Cassel Site standards, including the hazard study process, hazcon review, project risk assessment process and detailed design reviews.
Experience required:
Proven project management experience is essential to deliver these projects, either in a client or contractor organisation, and on significant projects (at least £5M).
You will need to have experience in managing substantial contracts and be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline and have previous chemical plant experience.
Previous experience working across boundaries and with multiple teams to deliver project goals is required.
