Dutton Recruitment are recruiting for:
A Mobile Plant Maintenance Fitter to join our client's team on a permanent basis.
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to work around all our clients UK sites and factories.
They are an independant steel fabrication company who's primary location is in Bury.
Purpose of the role:
* To ensure plant availability and engineering resource is available when required to assist the operational function.
* To carry out machine malfunction rectification work and carry out the plant service schedule in compliance with the PPM system.
* To carry out and document full risk assessments prior to undertaking any engineering activity.
* To be responsible for all personal and team engineering activity reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or the Group Maintenance Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To maintain all mobile plant assets and conduct a regular PPM service assisting in maintenance activities across all factory locations as required and co-ordinated by the Maintenance Supervisor.
* To carry our machine malfunction correction work and ensure plant and equipment is available to meet operationak demands placed upon it in a safe and efficient manner.
* To provide engineering training to new starters and apprentices in the department.
* To oversee and participate in all large installations and machine removals/re-positioning where required.
The work will involve working across the whole of the UK so flexibility is essential.
Qualifications required:
EITB Certificate of Craftmanship or equivalent in Mobile Plant Maintenance
17th Edition or other revelant electrical qualifications desirable.
Experience Required:
* Experienced mechanical and electrical maintenance background.
* Ability to work unsupervised and possess a logical and thorough approach to fault finding.
* Experience with CNC Machine Tooling equipment.
* Experience in maintaining PLC controlled machinery (Siemens preferred).
* Experience in electrical installation work.
* Health and Safety awareness and experience of conducting risk assessments and generating a SSoW
Rate of pay is depending on experience.
