M&E Technical Manager

Applicants must have excellent ability to discuss technical issues and who are willing to take ownership of technical systems. We are seeking a strong technical manager with some project experience (HV infrastructure). This is a purely technical role individuals will be providing technical leadership and management to engineering teams, you will be overseeing all technical M&E services on site with regards to both electrical and mechanical plant inclusive of critical equipment we are seeking a dynamic and keen individual who can explain technical terminology in great detail and present to the client.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for technical leadership and ensure that all technical service commitments are met.
Responsible for HV/LV activities ensuring full compliance with company HV/LV rules.
Responsible for ensuring that Statutory & Code compliance of sites is adhered to by the local management team and supported by specialist when required,
Ensure that Risk Management is being delivered across all contracts in a consistent manner.
Ensure areas of team development are recognised and action plan in place,
Provide technical support to teams.
Attend operational meetings as required.
Communicate any contractual concerns with senior management to ensure resolution.
Design, develop and implement business leading concepts across the company
Mentor and lead technical team under the guidance management
Stand in to lead the technical team as and when required to do so.
Education & Qualifications
Qualified to a recognised Building Services discipline Apprenticeship/City and Guilds or degree level/HND in an engineering discipline,
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
NEBOSH or other Health and Safety qualification desirable
Knowledge Skills & Experience
A good general education is essential, with engineering experience and qualifications
Training Incumbents must be able to demonstrate a career showing continuous personal development and progression.
Up to date technical knowledge of Electrical mechanical engineering, and environmental regulations, and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
High Voltage authorising engineer
Experience Managerial experience at Contract/Account Manager Level within a hard services business is essential.
Practical experience must include HV switching and line management experience
Technical experience in both Commercial Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Applications.
Aptitudes Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Numerate and computer literate.
Character Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels of personal integrity.
Has vision, and able to communicate this effectively
