We are currently looking to recruit 2x IT Technicians to work with a local authority located Rotherham, South Yorkshire with a view to starting immediately.
Our client is in the process of orchestrating a large-scale end-user device (laptop) upgrade across the estate.
The requirement is to supplement the existing IT build and deployment team with 2 x 3-month temporary agency workers. Ideally with the following skills:
Strong end-user device/IT hardware deployment background and skill set including experience with;
* Windows 10
* Re-image existing Windows 7 machines
* Build and deploy new hardware to replace end of life machines
* Building, configuring and deploying PCs/laptops/client devices to a stringent schedule.
* Working knowledge of all products within the Microsoft Office Suite (Office 2013, 2016 and Office 365)
* High-level knowledge of Active Directory administration
* Exchange 10/16
* Configure PCs and other equipment to ensure it meets ICT standards and user requirements with established procedures.
* Ensure that PC, Laptop and tablet images are correctly applied and applications are set up and working correctly.
* Unloading deliveries. Moving and storing boxes and equipment to help maintain a safe and tidy workplace.
* Follow procedures for maintenance/change control of ICT systems.
Skills & experience required:
* Excellent knowledge of PC hardware and upgrade/maintenance issues.
* Knowledge and experience of PC imaging with proven experience of testing and commissioning of ICT equipment.
* Knowledge of PC & laptop hardware maintenance; diagnosing and resolving faults with integrated and peripheral component.
* Significant experience in providing ICT support in an enterprise environment.
We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years' experience & working within the public sector (desired not essential).
You will be paid PAYE at a rate of £10.14 + holiday pay (or £11.35ph with holiday pay included on rate)
