The aim of the Facilities Directorate is to provide services that support students' and partners' experience of the University Campus and University life.
This post is a new role seeking an individual who can provide a consistent and professional service. The department is an efficiently run sector of the University that aims in improving the experience of students and staff. They expect of all their colleagues to be able to contribute ideas, and suggestions, to enhance service delivery and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing development of self and others. You will be responsible for a range of services including domestic, mail, portering, electrical, heating and plumbing, grounds and trades.
You will be expected to work collaboratively as a member of the FD to ensure that services are fit for use. You will be expected to have thorough knowledge of Gas, Water, Heating, Chilled Water and Drainage systems in both a domestic and commercial establishment. Ensure that the Heating, Ventilation and Plumbing processes and systems are fully integrated and work within agreed targets and budgets to support the Universities Academic Business.
You will supervise Heating Technicians and Plumbers on all University Campuses whilst also implementing service level agreements contracts, KPI's, standards, etc.
