Dutton Recruitment are working in partnership with a very well established and growing support provider who provide residential, outreach, community and supported living services around the UK. Due to organic development and growth due to having a very good reputation in the Yorkshire area they are recruiting for temp to perm support workers for their new services in Long Eaton. Dutton Recruitment are acting as an agent for this client and the contract is a 12-week temp to perm position, working for the first 12 weeks through Dutton Housing & Support and then transferring over permanently to the client on week 13.
This is a really exciting opportunity to work for a well-respected and forward thinking client who provide support to adults with both learning disabilities and mental health issues. They have great links with local authorities and because of that they have interesting and dynamic packages coming through on a regular basis that would ensure you are constantly learning new skills and developing as a support worker. My client offers extensive training, a very thorough induction program and will provide opportunities to further develop within the company as a whole.
The roles themselves are either 20 or 30 hours per week but with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts for other services in the area to make the role full time if you wanted to. You would need to be a FEMALE, (Genuine occupational requirement) to be considered for these roles due to the nature of the clients you will be supporting and their individual support needs. The role involves supporting 3 clients in two joining houses, all 3 clients with varying needs - you will be providing support in the community, within the home and building social and independent living skills. You will also be involved in providing outreach support to a couple of other local clients who live in the same area and are also supported by the same support provider.
The supported living service you will be working in is a 24/7 service so shifts range from day shifts to sleep ins on a weekly basis. The first 12 weeks will be paid at £7.50ph which will increase to £7.80 when moving over to them permanently on week 13.
To be considered for this position you must have 6 months paid experience within the last 2 years in a similar environment - supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.
