Dutton Recruitment are seeking an Environmental Health Officer, for work in the Public Sector Housing division of a Local Authority, based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
The post holder will provide investigative, enforcement and other support/intervention services to address housing defects, anti-social behaviour, environmental health and other public protection concerns using the tools available via the Housing Licensing schemes - Selective Licensing & HMO Licensing. This will include supporting policy development, staff development, performance management, champion partnerships, and promoting cross service and generic working.
Out of Hours work will be required which will include late nights, weekends and public holidays. This may relate to individual investigations, planned operations and as part of a rota. Emergency response and interventions at short notice may also be required in response to service needs. A Disclosure and Barring Service Check at an Enhanced Level is required to qualify for the role.
