Dutton Recruitment are recruiting for:
Assembly Pump Fitters for long term (potentially permanent) positions in the Barnsley area to start as soon as possible.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assemble of rotor pump range
* Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment
* Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements.
* Operation of key machines.
* Ensure adherence to all Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety guidelines and projects.
* Responsible for promoting safe and clean working environment
Education & Experience:
* Time served Fitter
* Ability to read engineering drawings, maths and measuring skills a requirement
* Must be familiar with use of engineering measuring equipment i.e, micrometer, calipers and gauges
* Knowledge in machine work and pump repair
* Ability to operate cranes and overhead hoist
* Ability to analyze pump and motor equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences.
* Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and repair manuals to identify and fix problems.
* Fundamental knowledge of pumps and associated equipment
* Problem solving and analytical skills
* A full UK driving license is an essential requirement
Rate of pay:
Rate of pay is £13.70 per hour for basic hours, £20.55 per hour for overtime and Saturdays and £22.40 per hour for Sundays.
