Supporting life-changing equipment

Moving forward with our commitment to helping the Children's Hospital Charity in 2018, we recently donated a large sum of money to help fund a new SPECT CT scanner.

"SPECT CT scanners incorporate the nuclear medicine gamma scanner (SPECT) with an inbuilt CT scanning function. This will mean images can be taken in two planes so radiologists can get the benefit of gamma and CT scanning in one session. Improved diagnostic confidence means faster access to tailored treatments for the 26 clinical specialities that require gamma scanning each year. For children with cancer, this means they may avoid unnecessary medicines and therapies that can leave them feeling extremely unwell."

Alongside a larger appeal by the charity, our Chairman Matthew Davison donated £25,000 to help to fund this incredible piece of equipment.

We are very proud to play a part in this fantastic cause, and we look forward to seeing how this can benefit people's lives.
