Quick-fire Q&A - Karen Charlesworth

This week we’re talking to Karen Charlesworth, a Resourcer at our Cardiff Branch. Karen helps to maintain client & candidate relationships, resource jobs when they become available and make sure that all candidates are fully compliant. She also organises pay set ups and is always on hand to make a good cuppa!


1. What was your first ever job?

I was a waitress at Happy Eater when I was 16.

2. How long have you been in recruitment?

8 years, 5 years with Dutton Recruitment!

3. What's your favourite thing about the industry?
The people - both clients & candidates!

4. ...and your least favourite thing?

Definitely when there’s a lack of communication and candidates not showing…

5. What made you want to join Dutton Recruitment

I was offered the right opportunity at the right time.

6. What's something you can't live without at work?

A pad and pen, I’m a big note taker!

7. Tea or Coffee?

Both.

8. What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?

Spending time with my young family, as well as having the odd house party to utilise my gin bar.. yes, I have gin bar!!

9. What is your main goal at Dutton Recruitment?

To provide a high level of service and professionalism to all our Clients & Candidates.

10. If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

It would have to be China or Japan for the culture & architecture.
